Moomin Plate Stinky in Action
Tove Jansson’s beloved character, the trickster Stinky, gets a new character set in the Arabia’s Moomin Classics collection. The illustration of the Stinky plate is based on two different comic strip stories: “Moomin Begins a New Life” and “Club Life in Moominvalley”, originally published in 1956 and 1957.
Within the illustration of the Stinky plate, we meet the villain of the Moominvalley who, as it turns out, is trying to save Moominmamma’s handbag from an unruly pooch. Even though Stinky is a bit of a scoundrel, he would never steal Moominmamma’s handbag.
